Redmaids’ High students saw 63% of GCSE grades awarded 9-8 (A*-A), significantly higher than the national average of 12.3%, with 82% at 9-7 and 98% of grades awarded 9-5.
The school celebrated strong results across a range of departments including English Language and Literature, maths, art, Latin and modern foreign languages.
Rebecca Armsby, Head of Year 11, said: “We are immensely proud of our Year 11 and all that they have achieved. It has been a real privilege to share this journey with them and to watch them grow into the remarkable young women they are today. It has been a joy to see all that they have accomplished, and we look forward to seeing where their talents and ambitions take them in the years ahead.”
Jane Prescott, the school’s interim head, said: “These extraordinary GCSE results are a reflection of the hard work and determination of our students, and the dedication of the staff who have supported them along the way.
