Clifton High School’s Class of 2026 achieved the best GCSE results in the school’s history.
This year, 24% of all grades awarded were 9s, with 43% at 9-8 and 63% at 9-7. 97% of pupils achieved 9-4
William Phelan, head of school, said: “We are immensely proud of our Year 11 pupils and all they have achieved. These record-breaking results are richly deserved and reflect not only academic excellence but also the determination, resilience and character shown by this cohort throughout their time at Clifton High School. “These outcomes are important, but they sit alongside the personal growth, confidence and wider achievements that make each pupil unique.”
