A concert in Clifton this month will celebrate the music of Aaron Copland.
It is being organised by Kevin Lindegaard and will cover every decade of Copland’s composing career.
The concert, with the strapline Music for a Great City, marks the 125th anniversary of the composer.
It features works for organ, piano and chorus performed by many great musicians.
The concert is on November 14 – details on our What’s On pages.
Kevin, a blogger and Copland superfan, has also made a tribute film, using Copland’s music as he walks around Bristol landmarks, which can be found at https://shorturl.at/orOLj
Kevin said: “My belief is that Copland’s universal music is a perfect start to get anyone, and particularly children, interested in classical music.
“I celebrate his amazing musical legacy through my blog aaron-copland.com.”
