Support for family

Clifton-based outdoor retailer Ellis Brigham has pledged its support to a family fundraising in memory of their son 18-year-old Arthur, who sadly recently lost his battle with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Arthur’s father, Andrew, along with his brother Chris and cousin George, will lace up their hiking boots and take on a 150-mile trek to raise awareness and funds for Teenage Cancer Trust through their campaign, Walk 4 Arthur.

The challenge will see the trio walk from Ashton Gate, home of the Bristol Bears, to Mawgan Porth in Cornwall—a place that held a special place in Arthur’s heart after many family holidays there. Setting off on Sunday 26 July, they will cover between 20 and 25 miles each day, aiming to reach Mawgan Porth on Saturday 1 August.

Mark Brigham of Ellis Brigham said: “When I heard that Andrew, Chris and George were taking on this incredible challenge, we wanted to support them in any way we could. The team has visited our Bristol store, where we fitted them with hiking footwear and packs to help them tackle the 150-mile journey in comfort.

“Everyone at Ellis Brigham is behind them, and we wish them every success as they raise vital funds and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust in Arthur’s memory.”

Leukaemia is the most common cancer in children and teens, making up about a third of childhood cancers. To offer your support for the Walk4Arthur trek in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, head to their JustGiving fundraising page.
